Edwin T Peeples: 1938 – 2006

Edwin was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 1953 at the age of 15.  Edwin faced Type 1 diabetes everyday challenges with courage and perseverance. Never once did Edwin let diabetes slow him down. He lived a full and amazing life along with his wife, 3 children, 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  Edwin dedicated his entire life to helping others and to think what more he could have done if he had a Diabetic Alert Dog assisting him. Unfortunately, he did not have the advantage of owning his very own D.A.D.  Edwin passed away at the age of 68 in October of 2006 from the complicating factors of Type 1 Diabetes. Edwin continues to serve others as a daily inspiration to our entire team.
